Birds this month

Small finch. Sharply pointed bill is pink in summer, grayish-brown in winter. Small head, long wings, and short, notched tail. Adult males in spring and summer are bright yellow with black forehead and wings
The male American Goldfinch is easy to spot with its bold yellow body, pointed pink, conical bill and black forehead. Goldfinches fly with a bouncy, undulating pattern and often call in flight, drawing attention to themselves.

Path conditions

UPDATED: September 30, 2023
We’ve had a long bout of dry weather over the spring and summer months, so sections of the path are still a bit soft. For now, it is suggested that chairs with narrow front wheels take caution and stay close to the centre of the path.
