A photo of spiky yellow flower

Anemone hupehensis (Japanese Anemone) grows up to 4′ high and 3′ wide.

This is a great flower for cutting and prefers full sun to partial shade.

It likes reasonably moist soil and is deer-resistant.  The graceful flowers gently sway in the breeze and will provide colour from August to October.
