Fundraiser

Plant Sale

Our annual Plant Sale returns on May 4th, 2025!

This popular volunteer-run fundraiser for the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden will have over 400 varieties of perennials, grasses, trees, shrubs, native plants, groundcovers, and succulents at lower prices! Have a look at the catalogue below (many thanks to Amanda Offers for her support pulling this comprehensive list together).

This selection of plants has been provided by donors and the volunteers who will be running this event! Who better to ask about the plant than the people who grew and cared for it?

Many thanks to Southlands Nursery, Spirithouse Gardens, and the Van Dusen Botanical Garden Plant Sale Group for their generosity and support of this year’s event.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL PLANT SHOPPING

  • While the WEATHER has been good to us in years past, please monitor the forecast and dress appropriately (wear comfy shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirt on).
  • THIS IS A VOLUNTEER-RUN EVENT.  We are incredibly grateful to have your support, but please remember: this event is put on entirely by wonderful volunteers who have generously donated hours of their time to make this event possible! Be patient, be forgiving, and be kind.
  • Our PLANT CATALOGUE has been created and maintained to the best of our volunteers’ ability. It is robust and full of excellent detail but we cannot guarantee it is without error.
  • COME EARLY! We have limited quantities of many of these plants, so come early to avoid disappointment. We will not hold plants in advance.
  • CASH, CREDIT, CHEQUES ONLY – sorry, no debit, or e-transfers.
  • PARKING – Please park down at the Garden’s main parking lot at 5941 Mason Road. Make your way to the Plant Sale by following the path on the left side of the Pavilion.
  • Bring a wagon or a basket to help you carry your purchases home. Lay a towel or blanket on your vehicle seats and floor to protect from dirt.
  • We will have trays and limited wagons/wheelbarrows/dollies to be used
  • LOADING ZONE/PAID HOLD AREA – Bought more than you were anticipating? Woohoo! Thank you! We will have volunteers to monitor your paid-for purchases while you collect your vehicle and drive down to our loading zone.
  • Familiarize yourself with the layout out our Bot Shop so you know where to find the specific plants you are after.
