The Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden is primarily run by a wonderful and dedicated team of volunteers, many of whom have been giving their time for many years!

Building Maintenance

Are you a Jack, Jill or Jim of all trades and know a thing or two about maintenance? Help us with the odd jobs that need tending to around the Pavilion and Work Yard.

Clean Team

Who ever said cleaning wasn’t fun?
Word on the street is the Clean Team has the most fun – after they’re done cleaning, that is.

Our Clean team bring the sparkle back to the Pavilion following events. Many hands make for light work and we are so grateful to our volunteers!

    Help us maintain our veggie garden and give back to the Food Bank too!

Garden Tours

Are you great with people and enjoy sharing what you know about botanicals? Consider becoming a docent for the Garden, offering tours of our collections.

Greeters

Be a friendly face to welcome visitors when they arrive. Offer a map, point out highlights and offer suggestions of where to explore.

School Programs Facilitator

Are you a former educator, or leader of scouting & guiding club? We’re looking for volunteers who are passionate about nature and know not only how to inspire and engage children and youth but how to organize and guide a lesson. We provide the curriculum, we just need passionate leaders!

Special Events

Do you love to help out at events, big and small? We’re always looking for logistical help to roll out our fundraising events and workshops. 

We have opportunities in the following areas:

  • Set up/Tear down
  • Bartending
  • Cashier
  • Guest Registration
